Within Columbus' creative community is an extraordinary force of talent, drive, experience, and pride in the city we call home. Wonderland will harness and propel this energy in a facility that brings many creative disciplines together to collaborate, educate, entertain and inspire.
The Wonderland team spent the summer engaged in due diligence efforts related to a commercial property in East Franklinton. Following an extensive review of the building and surrounding lot, the Board and staff has agreed that the project and its needs would be better served at another location. This process has involved essential input from Wonderland's consultants, including Nationwide Realty Investors, EMH & T, BBCO Architecture and the firm of Ice Miller LLP.
We maintain our commitment to building a nurturing home for working creatives in the center of Columbus. We are fortunate to have support and guidance from Mayor Michael Coleman and Columbus City Council, the Greater Columbus Arts Council, the Columbus Foundation, the Columbus Partnership and others working to realize the city's full potential. Our efforts to find the right place continue in earnest. While we remain open to all possibilities, we hope to settle close to the artists and creative organizations taking root in the Franklinton neighborhood.
