In the past month, we've been busy continuing our search for a facility that will be congruent with Wonderland's vision and business plan. We've buried our noses in auditor files, explored rooftop views of the city, and dodged pigeons flying around abandoned factories. After all that we're happy to say that we've narrowed our pool down from well over 50 buildings to just a handful.
If you were trolling gallery hop on September third, odds are you came across the Wonderland's QR Code art show displayed along the Ibiza lot. Upon scanning the codes with your smart phone, you would have discovered that each one corresponds to a piece created by a local artist. If you missed the QR Code Art Show this time around, never fear, because it will also be traveling to Art Al Fresco and Independent's Day in the coming weeks.
Next month, Wonderland will take the stage and screen. Continuing our partnership with the Columbus Museum of Art, our volunteers have been working hard on the next installment of Game Show, set for second Friday in October. The following day, on October 15th music junkies, cinephiles, and everyone in between will get the chance to geek out at Cinemusica. Video artists, musicians, and performers are teaming up to showcase collaborative audio-visual pieces at the Arena Grand. Check out our artist Q&A for a taste of what's to come!
Looking ahead, we'll be partnering with local businesses and organizations in November to present good old fashioned murder mystery dinner... with a twist, of course! More details to come soon.
